American Classic 12% Southern Sweet can be fed to a wide variety of farm animals including horses, cattle, sheep and goats. Initially, this feed should be introduced gradually over a 10 day period to all species of farm animals. Adult maintenance horses should be fed 1 – 1 ½lbs per 100lbs of body weight daily depending upon body condition and activity. Exercised or exhausted horses should be cooled and re-hydrated before having free access to feed and water. Weaned cattle should be fed 1% – 2% of their body weight depending upon body condition and desired rate of gain. Goats and sheep should be fed at 0.75- 1.5lbs per 100lbs of body weight daily. Always provide clean, fresh drinking water at all times. Salt and minerals may also be provided as needed. Animals should always have access to pasture, or they should be fed quality hay free-choice.
