Introduction to Feed: When introducing this feed, gradually mix it with the current feed over a 10-day period to allow animals’ digestive systems to adjust. Start with a mixture of 25% Patriot’s Pride 12% Sweet Feed and 75% of the existing feed on day 1. Gradually increase the proportion of Patriot’s Pride 12% Sweet Feed by 7.5% each day until it constitutes 100% of the feed on day 10.
Horses (Adult Maintenance): Feed 0.75 to 1.5 pounds per 100 pounds of body weight daily. Adjust the amount based on the horse’s body condition, work intensity, and forage quality. Feed in two or more equally spaced feedings per day.
Horses (Exercised or Stressed): Horses that have been exercised or are exhausted must be allowed to cool down and rehydrate before being fed. Offer water and a small portion of feed initially, then wait until the horse’s breathing and heart rate are normal before providing free access to feed.
Cattle (Weaned): Feed weaned cattle 1% to 3% of their body weight daily, depending on the desired rate of gain and body condition. Divide the total daily feed into two feedings to promote digestive health.
Sheep and Goats: Provide 1 to 2 pounds of Patriot’s Pride 12% Sweet Feed per 100 pounds of body weight daily. Adjust the amount to maintain optimal body condition and health status.
General Management: Clean, fresh water should be available at all times for all species. Ensure that salt and a balanced mineral supplement suitable for each species are available free-choice. Pasture access should be provided where possible. If not, quality hay should be available free-choice to promote digestive health and meet forage requirements.
Storage and Handling: Store feed in a cool, dry place to preserve freshness. Keep the feed in a secure container to prevent contamination and consumption by rodents or other pests.
