Feeding Chicks: Feed Chick Starter continuously to chicks from their first day until they reach the onset of lay. For broiler chickens or game birds, provide this feed from day one through the first 8 weeks of life.
Transitioning to Adult Feed: After reaching 16 weeks of age, gradually transition your poultry to AMC 16% Layer Pellets or 16% Layer Crumble. This transition should be done over a period of 7-10 days to allow their digestive systems to adapt.
Feeding Instructions: Offer the feed free-choice, ensuring that the feeder is maintained at least half full at all times.
Medicated: Amprolium has been added to this starter feed to aid in the prevention of coccidiosis in environments where coccidiosis immunity is not developed.
Additional Supplements: Introduce AMC Poultry Grit at 8 weeks of age to aid in digestion. Starting at 16 weeks, you can supplement their diet with AMC Oyster Shell for additional calcium and AMC Complete Scratch for added nutrients and foraging stimulation.
Water and Shelter: Always provide an uninterrupted supply of fresh, clean water. Ensure that adequate shelter is available to protect the chicks from the elements and potential predators.
